コンセンシスがイーサリアム規制めぐり米SECを提訴
米コンセンシス（Consensys）が、イーサリアム（Ethereum）の規制に関連して、米SEC（証券取引委員会）に対して提訴したと4月25日発表した。
米コインベースグローバル（Coinbase Global）を含む業界の最大手の企業は、暗号資産は有価証券でないという理由で「SECに管轄権はない」と主張しており、この業界の規制は論争の的となっている。
コンセンシスの告訴状には、米国の市場監視当局が「コンセンシスや、おそらくその他企業に対する臨時の執行措置を通じてイーサ（ETH）を不法に規制しようとしている」と主張されている。
コンセンシスは、SECにはイーサリアムやイーサリアムブロックチェーン上に構築されたユーザー制御のソフトウェア・インターフェースを規制する法的権限がないという裁判所の確認を求めていると述べた。
SECは現在、暗号資産を規制していない。SECは、イーサリアムの現物価格を追跡しようとする複数のETF（上場投資信託）の申請を未だに承認していない。
